Sports · Swimming
Speed, strength and power training for swimmers ages 8–18, by age group, starting from a baseline we measure.
“My swim times have consistently improved, and the training at Premier Performance has helped me to feel stronger in the water and become a better athlete.”
Who it’s for
My son is a competetive swimmer. A workout for a swimmer is totally different than that of any other sport. Aaron's academic and practical knowledge combined with his holistic view and care for the welfare of each client is what sets him apart.
How we train it
Every athlete starts with a baseline and is retested as often as weekly, and parents see the numbers in the Universal Speed Rating app. Our guarantee: at least 1 mph faster and 2–3 inches higher on the vertical in 90 days — or your training is on us.
Timed on the gates.
Acceleration, top speed and change of direction, measured so progress is visible.
Technique before load.
Foundational strength first, then loaded progressions as the athlete earns them.
Explosive lower body.
Jumps and explosive work, tested on the approach and standing vertical.
In Coach Aaron’s words
“The last two things we’ll do is the approach vertical and the standing stationary vertical. We like to see linear movement, lateral movement, and then lower body power.”

“Since I've been coming here, I've noticed that I've gotten a lot faster and I feel a lot stronger in the water and a lot more explosive.”
“I've been going to Aaron's for about two years now and it's really helped me build muscle and strength.”
My daughter is a runner and needed to start strength work and my son is a swimmer - also needing strength work. Neither had ever worked with weights before so I wanted to make sure they were doing it correctly. Aaron came up with individual workout plans since their needs are different.
Overall, he is very knowledgeable in knowing how to train swimmers and just about any other sport. If you are serious about being your best, then his style will be very beneficial.
His workouts make me feel stronger and more confident to drop times for the upcoming swim season!!

It takes 45 minutes: a warm-up, a 10-yard fly sprint, the 5-10-5 agility drill, and the vertical and approach jump. You’ll see where your athlete stacks up against beginner, advanced and college-level numbers.
