Sports · Hockey
Speed, strength and power training for hockey players ages 8–18, by age group, starting from a baseline we measure.
“I have also noticed a harder shot, more explosive stride, and harder to knock off the puck.”
Who it’s for
My son is a 14 yo hockey player who began training with Aaron earlier this Summer. Aaron came highly recommended by the family of a teammate and he exceeded all of our expectations. His workouts have been tailored to our sport-specific request and Aaron has made sure to adhere to an age-appropriate routine.
How we train it
Every athlete starts with a baseline and is retested as often as weekly, and parents see the numbers in the Universal Speed Rating app. Our guarantee: at least 1 mph faster and 2–3 inches higher on the vertical in 90 days — or your training is on us.
Timed on the gates.
Acceleration, top speed and change of direction, measured so progress is visible.
Technique before load.
Foundational strength first, then loaded progressions as the athlete earns them.
Explosive lower body.
Jumps and explosive work, tested on the approach and standing vertical.
In Coach Aaron’s words
“The last two things we’ll do is the approach vertical and the standing stationary vertical. We like to see linear movement, lateral movement, and then lower body power.”

“I like going to him because he helps me with my speed, my strength, and overall endurance like everything that I basically need for my sport.”
He attends 2-3 times a week and we have seen him get faster, stronger, and more confident since starting!
My son is a Fall/Spring HS athlete, so the offseason workouts drastically improved his strength and speed.
Our 13 year old son has really enjoyed the personalized training sessions throughout the summer to help increase his overall strength.
