“Our 13 year old son has really enjoyed the personalized training sessions throughout the summer to help increase his overall strength.”

Who it’s for

  • Beginners — many start having never lifted a weight
  • Multi-sport athletes, and athletes starting to focus on one sport
  • Athletes getting ready for high school sport
  • Athletes who already lift at school — we adjust the program around it
My 13 y/o 8th grader isn’t the biggest kid around. He’s never had much motivation to train, was always a bit intimidated about the idea of a gym. Aaron’s approach, his way with athletes of all types is so engaging. My son now hates missing a session.

Why middle schoolers start lightCoach Aaron · 0:48

In Coach Aaron’s words

“We’re not lifting heavy weights with our middle school athletes. We’re not even trying to set PRs. […] We like to start our athletes at a low progression. And by low, we mean lighter weights.”

He loves the smaller groups because he feels like he's pushed harder than if he were to be in a larger group setting.

We signed our 14 year old up with Aaron several months ago to work on his strength and athleticism. Let me tell you that we can tell a big difference in his strength on and off the baseball field.

Questions

Is 13 too young to lift weights?

Not when it’s coached. Younger athletes start with light weights and learn each lift before any load is added. In Coach Aaron’s words: “We’re not lifting heavy weights with our middle school athletes.”

My athlete has never lifted. Is that OK?

Yes. The program starts by teaching athletes how to lift properly.

What happens at the free assessment?

It takes 45 minutes: a warm-up, a 10-yard fly sprint, the 5-10-5 agility drill, and the vertical and approach jump. You’ll see where your athlete stacks up against beginner, advanced and college-level numbers.

How big are the groups?

Up to 8 athletes per coach, sometimes with a support coach helping with form and technique.

How often should my athlete train?

You can start at one day a week. Coach Aaron sees the best results from two days a week.

What is the guarantee?

Guaranteed results in 90 days: at least 1 mph faster and 2–3 inches higher on the vertical — or your training is on us.
