I recently participated in a Mindset Training that kinda blew my mind, honestly.

Myself and other fitness pros were handed a sheet containing about 150 values, and we were asked to circle all those that resonated with us.

Then, we were asked to narrow them down to 15 …

And then … 10.

Once we had our top 10 values, we had an informal discussion about a handful of things that would improve our business and our lives. But here’s the catch …

In order to get any of these things, we had to trade one of our values for it.

And when one of your values is “Family” or “Love” or “Success” or “Financial Freedom” … well, talk about an exercise in selling your soul.

Now, the top 5 values I ended up with are kinda personal … so I’m a little shy about revealing them here.

If you’d like to know what I came up with, feel free to reply back and I’d be happy to share.

But I just want to say one thing that I learned from this exercise …

And it really hit home for me …

If “Health” isn’t one of the top 5 most important things in your life, I think that’s a really big red flag.

And let me be brutally honest … when I first went through this exercise … it wasn’t one of mine.

I quickly realized that was a mistake.

I thought that if I filled up my top 5 with other values that would result in good health, then good health would come to me.

But it was explained to me that this is the wrong way to go about it.

If you want something … if it’s truly important and vital to you and your ultimate happiness … then you need to specifically and intentionally prioritize it and go after it.

It’s not going to just come to you.

Nothing worth having ever does.
