I’m a big believer in the “little things.”

Small actions executed consistently – and imperfectly – produce the greatest and most sustainable success.

Not swinging for the fences all the time and hoping for the best.

In the fitness world – and I’ve been guilty of this, too – we’ve been conditioned to believe that we should only celebrate the big things.

A 30-pound PR.

Or 30 pounds of weight loss.

Yeah … those are big deals … and should be celebrated.

But today, I want to share with you all the little things that go into achieving those big goals.

Maybe it was getting back in the habit of prepping your meals for the week.

Or working tirelessly on improving your shoulder range of motion.

It might have been staying consistent with your mobility exercises and … lo and behold … all of a sudden you can reach the floor with your knee during a lunge.

Is that a small thing?

I’d argue it’s big … but it’s a small piece of a bigger puzzle.

So on your way to the bigger goal, don’t lose sight of the smaller actions and accomplishments along the way.

They all add up.
