Results

Results are a big deal when it comes to fitness.

It’s why we make the time to work out, meal prep, and eat responsibly.

It’s how we measure success … whether that’s a number on the scale, your clothes fitting better, or a new personal record on your favorite strength exercise.

And while it’s important to celebrate those victories, it’s equally important -- if not more so -- to understand and appreciate what makes those results possible.

It’s work.

The daily commitment and consistency.

The small actions you take every day, the sacrifices you make, and the simple things that propel you forward each day.

Don’t lose sight of those things.

Because results only follow action.

Consistent, small actions that add up over time.

I’ve used this example with clients whose goal is weight loss.

You can’t lose 30 pounds today.

But you can drink 16 ounces more water than you did yesterday.

You can get 1 more hour of sleep than you did yesterday.

You can lift 5 more pounds or 1 more rep than you did last week.

So yes, celebrate your results and your accomplishments.

But better yet, celebrate the small things that you do everyday that propel you to those results.

The results you want are only the product of the work you put in.
