Super Bowl Sunday: Chiefs vs 49ers

Even if you don’t follow sports, you know that today is the Super Bowl. The biggest game of the year for NFL athletes and fans. As we know as well, most fans will find this as an excuse to over indulge on calories. We don’t have to eat everything in sight, but we use this as an excuse, RIGHT?

According to a recent survey by Letsgetchecked, it stated that on average this Super Bowl Sunday people will consume over 11,000 calories each. WHAT? Thats a ton of food and drink for sure, but 11,000 calories. Thats an average of 3.2 lbs per person. You know how hard it is to lose weight for some people, so the real question is it all worth it? For some yes, but for others the struggle is real. It might take some folks 2-3 days to lose that weight. Other maybe a month. So, I would suggest to be selective with your calories on this awesome day.

Here is a brief break down on what most people consume:

.7 portions of hot wings

3.2 slices of pizza

2.1 portions of fries

3.4 bags of chips

1.9 portions of chilli

2.4 burgers

1.7 sliders

2 hot dogs

2.7 portions of nachos

3 pieces of fried chicken

1.8 ribs

1.7 sausages

1.6 slices of cake

1.8 brownies

1.8 bowls of ice cream 2

.3 portions of salad

2.1 subs

1.7 bags of sweets

1.9 bars of chocolate

Thats a ton of food!! But if you aren’t careful that number will creep up higher than that. Be mindful of what you are eating and don’t take this opportunity as an excuse. Be intentional with your calories and the rest will take care of itself.
