Top 5 Things Your Trainer Won’t Tell You

Do you want to know some of the deepest secrets your personal trainer will never tell you?

Here they are:

1. They Don’t Need Abs To Help You

Even though some trainers may be in shape—it doesn’t mean that your trainer needs to have washboard abs to help YOU get in shape. Although the way a trainer looks may increase their sales, it doesn’t have anything to do with how they can help you reach your goals. Remember, a trainer’s job is to get YOU the results you’re looking for—and not to get themselves in shape.

2. Trainers Aren’t Life Coaches

Although you may tell your trainers everything, their job first and foremost, is to get you in shape. Although they can be a great person to lean on, they are not a life coach and shouldn’t need to give you advice that isn’t related to the gym or your program.

3. Your Success Is Important To Them

Your trainer wants you to be successful. They want you to reach all your goals, and they work hard to make it happen. That’s why they get disappointed when you eat junk and don’t exercise in between sessions. They can only do so much before you need to take matters into your own hands. Just remember, a little outside effort can really go a long way.

4. Not All Trainers Are Certified

Not all the trainers you meet are going to be certified. There are a lot of gyms that hire people who may not have the credentials needed to work with you to help you reach your goals. Always make sure you’re working with someone who can show you their credentials. It will prevent a lot of headaches, or even time missed due to injuries.

5. You Can Score Cheaper Sessions

Yes, personal training can get expensive. But there are ways you can score some pretty sweet deals. One happens to be a “bring-a-friend” deal. The training session may be a little bit more expensive, but you can split the cost with your friend, which brings down how much you’re paying. And trainers are more than happy to work with a couple people—or even a whole group. It adds some fun and excitement for them, as they get to really show off their knowledge by working with multiple goals and people.

If you’ve hired a trainer, then you already know what they bring to the table. Someone to talk to…motivate you…and help you reach your goals…this is why people often hire a trainer But these 5 secrets, which most trainers won’t tell you, will give you a different perspective next time you’re training, or even at the gym watching a personal trainer work.
