Top 3 Reasons Why You are Not seeing Results

There are a number of things that could be preventing you from reaching your goals, but I'd like to narrow it down to just 3 Simple Reasons:

1. Consistency- steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.

Without some sort of consistent effort with your Nutrition or even your Exercise, you've become frustrated with all of the time and energy spent trying to get the perfect body. You are all pumped about things for a couple of days, but if the scales aren't trending down or your workouts aren't perfect, sometimes we want to throw in the towel because this whole "Health" thing isn't for us.

I will say from experience that it takes time to be consistent with any regimen. It took me 3.5 Years to realize that the job I was working and food I was eating was taking my health in a downward spiral. Once I figured out how I could manage stress, eat better, and workout in a way that would help me reach my long term goals everything fell into place. I was being intentional and consistent with my routine, because I knew if I could stick to it, the Results would follow.  It may take 2-3 weeks before you can actually nail down a system that works for you. If you can take just one thing and work on it for a few weeks or even a month or so and get consistent results, then you know that things will start to pay off.

2. Burn more calories than you consume

This is a no brainer to me, but for some people they get caught up in the weekend extravaganza of going out eating everything they see with their eyes. I have been a victim of this just like the next person, but there comes a  time and place to have self control and not go all out just because its at your disposal.

3. You are not goal oriented

Setting goals is crucial no matter what you are trying to accomplish. Without an end goal in mind, we tend to carelessly go in circles looking for the next thing to satisfy us. In the fitness world there are way too many infomercials, social media experts, and other crap that grabs our attention and we want the results those people have NOW. It really doesn't matter how long we have been working for the things we want. We want Results and some of us want them within the first 2 weeks of working out. If we set short term goals and long term goals, we are able to have a step by step process to achieve the things we really want out of life with our fitness.

When thinking about goals think about SMART- Specific, Measurable , Attainable, Realistic, Time Bound.

So bottom line, if you are consistent, burn more calories than you consume, and set goals anything is possible when it comes to achieving things with your health and fitness.
