Don’t Dwell on Your Problems…Solve Them!

I know for some of us it is very difficult to let things go. A situation happens and we only want to focus on the negative. When we focus on the negative, we tend to beat ourselves up. We look for excuses on how we can try and forget about the circumstances instead of solving them. 

As a Business Owner, it can be easy at times to sit back and focus on why things happen the way they do. Peoples don’t show up for sessions, people cancel their memberships, someone isn’t losing the weight they set out to lose. I would always beat myself up and wonder if I was the reason all of these things were happening. 

There were even days where I would set aside time to try and work on finding ways to be better, but I would find myself in a funk. Only to find other things to blame the previous problems on. 

So, I reached out to one of my Business Coaches to get advice: How can you we get so caught up in one thing that it prevents us from accomplishing more? His response. “Start solving more problems and you won’t have to be a part of the problem.”

I was so worried about having problems within my business that I would never solve the problems that I was facing. I would sit back and try and find someone or something to blame. Wasted a lot of time an Energy on these things. It led to a lot of missed workouts and just feeling straight out sorry for myself.  

I think this holds true with my clients as well. They have goals and objectives that they want to accomplish. Losing weight, gaining strength, improving your flexibility and mobility. Sometimes we tend to focus so much on the WHY behind losing weight, that we psych ourselves out. We don’t lose any weight, but actually start to gain or even might even Stop Coming to the GYM all together. We FOCUS too much on the weight loss problem, which in turn leads to many more problems because the scale didn’t give us a loss within the first 2 Weeks.

Nothing feels better than having a bunch of solved problems. Your Energy Level is through the roof, the workouts get more and more awesome and you enjoy life.
