March
In a few short days, it’ll be March 1, which prompted me to reflect a bit on what’s happened in the past 24 months.
Can you believe it’s been almost two years since the world shut down and we were confronted with one of the biggest challenges of our generation?
If you’ve been following my newsletter for a while, you’ll remember that about a year ago, I was advising you not to follow the crowd … and to avoid yearning for things to “go back to normal.”
In case you haven’t noticed, things still haven’t gone back to normal.
But if you ask me, a lot of things have changed for the better.
I’ve noticed this in some recent conversations with clients.
If they’ve had a close contact, instead of panicking, they’ll say, “I’ll do some Zooms and home workouts for a few days.”
We’re more adaptable than we used to be, and that’s good.
We’re more resilient than we used to be, and that’s even better.
And yeah, there are still people who left our community in March 2020 and said, “I’ll be back when you re-open” … and still haven’t been back.
Maybe they’ve found a different way to stay healthy and care for themselves … and if so, that’s great! My goal has always been to help the people I can and root for those I can’t.
And I hope you’ve noticed by now that I don’t hold hostages. Every single person who is part of our community is here because they want to be.
If that’s you … I want you to know how much I appreciate you and your trust in me.
If that’s not you … I want you to know that the door is always open when you’re ready.
If that used to be you … I want you to know that I’d love to help you achieve your ideal body and health again.
Yeah, we do it a little differently these days.
And we do things differently here than most gyms.
But I would argue, we do it better.
And no matter what the circumstances, I’m here to help you do it better.
