Random Thoughts on the Cost of Personal Training
Over the past few years I think I have heard almost every excuse about how expensive Personal Training is.
"Wow, its really expensive, " "I'm on a budget and can only afford X amount of training per month," or "The Gym down the road has much cheaper prices."
Lets just cut to the chase! I understand not everyone is willing and able to afford training. I get it. But when does it come down to Your Overall Health. Is your trip to Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger King, or any other quick and fast food restaurant worth it. How good do you really feel after consuming a cup of sugar with a bit of coffee or deep fried foods at the expense of living as long as possible.
Some of us need to really do a "gut check," and simply narrow down the wants as opposed to the needs. You want all of these things, but you do not need them.
If you cut back the $5-$12 a day on quick and convenient foods or beverages you would definitely have enough to take the next steps to leading a healthier and happier life. Thats anywhere between $150-$360 a month invested in YOU!
I have had people come in and out of the facility with the same response about pricing once we have gone over just about everything else. Little did I know was that I wasn't doing my part to dig deeper and find the root about why they couldn't afford it. I just assumed people couldn't afford it at all. When I did some reflection on this in the Producer Challenge I am apart of, they really broke it down for you. Find out what they do, what kind of car do you drive, how many times do you go out to eat a week, and etc..
It's Uncomfortable, BUT NECESSARY!
When you ask these questions to prospective members it is very intrusive, but it will get the prospect to reflect on what they are really spending money on. 9 out of 10 times they can Afford IT, its just a matter of Wants vs. Needs.
